Default VZ Shocks. When should they start leaking?

    Hi all.

I have a question regarding the VZ factory shocks.. When should they start leaking?

I have a 2005 VZ, which is in for a service and I've been told that one of the rear shocks is leaking.

It's done 65K klms and Im wondering if thats normal for shockies to start leaking?

If it is, is it worthwhile getting all 4 replaced at the same time. ?

    Chers

Hrmm.. I took my SV6 in for it's 60K service last week, and they told me the same thing, that my shocks are leaking, and need replacing soon.

Shock Absorbers usually have a servicable life of around 50,000-60,000km. Give u an idea both my rear shocks had spat the dummy at 50,000k & its best to replace them in pairs.

    Red face

Replaced my shocks with Monroe GT Sport all round (very firm in the rear). This was after the rears failed.
Of course Holden neglected to tell me the rears were gone (instant oversteer). Perhaps because they were still under warranty or they didn't bother to look.
Don't get me started on their service ethics......my bloods beginning to boil!
    I better lie down.

dont take it to the mechanics to change them but.
all it is is one bolt in the boot and one massive mofo underneath.
kmart tried to charge me 370 for just the rear shockers.
bought a pair of brand new fe2 on ebay for 70 bucks. =]
