    Unhappy vz calais revs flaring

hi guys. i bought a nice vz calais bout 3 months ago and ever since i got it i noticed that ocassionally when under light throttle the revs will flare by maybe 1-200 rpmn and you can feel the car surging. it is most noticable when in top gear (5 speed auto) and going up a slight incline. anyways i took the car back when i 1st got it and was told it had no fault codes and seemed normal, so i didnt take much notice until the other day when it seemed realy bad, and was doing it in every gear, its definetely noticable but it hasnt logged any codes so im wondering if its a problem with the electronic throttle or auto,, has any one else had this in there vz? any help appreciated cheers

Coming from a Manual owner, cant really relate to ur prob but ur best bet would be to take to a transmission specialist.

From the sounds of it, most likely is a fault in the trasmission somwhere.

    Are the gear changes eratic?

i had the surging (ever so slight when slowly accelarating)around the 1700-1850rpm.was due to the variable intake switching over inside the V6.from economy to a shorter run for accelrating.

that would seem plausable to be

disconnect it, and see if it does it

the gear changes are perfect, nice and smooth, which is why i was starting to think it was normal until it started to get worse

at the back of the manifold, in the middle you will see a round black motor bolted to the top part of the manifold, disconnect the wiring from that and see if it still happens,
