    Question Perhaps Dogie Extractors Install?

    Hey guys..

Got the new extractors installed.. pacemakers .. just taking a closer look at them .. the workmanship looks a bit dogie.. but I'm no mechanic .. so i can't ascertain what I'm looking at..
But it would seem to close the gap between the extractors and the engine, they've used a 1/2 millimeter metal strip to close the gap. Plus used some sort of orange "sealant" to keep the gap closed
( which looks like its coming off :S)

Can someone that has these extractors installed or knows their way around a VZ Alloytec engine comment thanks =]

    Question

No idea on the install or quality.
However, what does it sound like?
Has the rest of your exhaust been modified?
Can you feel any difference in performance?

did u get the twin 2 1/4 cat back?

my dad got extractors and a twin 2 1/4 on his vz v6 and it sounds like a rice burner

if u got the same system, you got no hope in sounding like a v8

Did he have the 190kw or 175kw?

As both engines sound completely different with exhausts.

I've seen and heard quite a few SV6's with full exhausts, and they sound great.
    No ricer sound at all..

But I have also heard some VZ exec's that sound horrid....

id just hit up another exhaust shop. If indeed there is something wrong, the people who did it might play dumb, or tell you theres nothing wrong. Or they might actually admit fault(if there even is any).

i wouldnt woory about it, all i can see is excess gasket goo squeezed out, and a metal gasket, looks like theyve used a spacer but that will be allright, better to have the fit it like that, than just wedge everything in and break or twist or bend other like ive seen happen,

    Lightbulb Clarification

Do these crappy sounding Alloytecs have 1 muffler or two?
I think the better sounding ones might just have 2 muffers
    like the factory set-up.
Nayla how many does yours have?

crossover pipe makes a good differance in the twins aswell,

mine sounded pretty good with standard v8 exhaust with no rear muffler, had a deep note down low, but got quieter up top
