I tried to start my vz v6 today after 2 weeks of it sitting and after it started it wouldn't idle, so i popped the hood and saw that the iac hose that connects to the intake manifold just after the throttle body was cracked. Threw a bit of tape on it for now until i can be bothered to replace it. Here is the pic of the hose im talking about

Mine split also.
Went to Holden for replacement hose.
They claimed I could only buy the complete hose
assembly at around $80!
Purchased a new hose from Autobarn for $12.
Gates heater hose for KA Ford Laser,
part# 02-0127.
Just cut the elbow peice off.
Easy.

yeah, i look out for them, getting the box isnt much of a problem, well it is, but the wiring harness i need, and the clutch/brake pedal, hydralic lines master cylinder etc etc, list goes on,
might wait till i can find a stat writeoff sv6 and get the variable in/ex motor too

Anything else it could be? Or has someone got a pic of where and how big their crack is? I may have simply overlooked mine.
Mine runs rough at idle on occasion.
I cleaned my PCV system (full of gunk) and this only seemed to
worsen the problem. However it now seems have to got better.
I suspect the Alloytec might be sensitive to different fuels.
Was running E10 95 octane. Now standard 91 octane.
I'm not afraid.
ive always run on Vortex 95 i think it is. Only rarely put in anything else when im on empty, and no where near a caltex.
But the few times ive had this rough idle, wasnt at the times i changed the fuel.
