gear box issues?

last night when we were coming home, sitting on around 60kph the car started hunting. pulled over to have a quick look and nothing seemed out of place. got back in and it struggled to take off, like the back brakes were on. stoped again no smell of brakes.
as we took off again it really struggled to get going, the engine wasnt free reving against the box just held 2k till it got up to speed. really struggles along to get going but once its going it seems fine.
this morning the car starts and drives fine? WTF?
the car is a 2005 175 v6 4l60e - everything stock.
has 120000kms on the clock and the box was last services at 80000kms
Has anyone had or seen anything like this?

nah not at all. the next day the car drove fine??

Cat converter blocked? My car had one of the cats blocked, was fine until they warmed up, probably 5 or 10 minutes, then guts of cat expands and engine wouldn't rev over 3K.

car revs fine in neutral. **** only knows its still going fine?
