Default VZ Spark Plug Change - Now Pinging???

I just did a spark plug change yesterday on my 2006 VZ Exec. it had some single pointed bosch platinums, and i replaced them with some 4 pointed bosch platinums as thats what I was told to use via supercheap, i doubled checked the book at supercheap n they were the right ones.

Fairly straight foward, n now i have pinging.

    1. Wrong plugs? or maybe that they are 4 point and not the 1 point ones (1 prong).
    2. Intake manifold leak? ....... when I first put it on it was misfiring, tightened it up a bit and it was fine.

As I have tuning software, I lowered the timing advance, put some 98 fuel in and still no go.

    HELP

did mine 1000kms ago 99 vt exec and one of the plugs outer casing was fractured straight out of the packet, when i torqued it, it fell to pieces i didnt try to start it like that but maybe that might be a problem. took it back got a new one and they go good as now, i highly recommend the bosch fusions quad sparks :P

    I replaced mine with Fusions.
    No problems to report.
Although they do have a larger non
    adjustable gap than OEM.

+1 for NGK plugs. No experience with them on VZ's but they have always given the best service in my experience.

Maybe they are the wrong heat range?

A call to Bosch might not go awry.
