g'day all as far as i understand the ve ssv 19" wheels need the hub to be machined but also have read on here somewhere that the vz wheel nuts dont fit them properly or something, so my question is what would need to be done to get them to fit the vz properly?

AFAIK just machined? Ive never heard of this problem with the wheel nuts.
thanks troy, so in saying that, that would mean i need to get aftermarket wheel nuts that are specifed to the wider "cone" shape but fit the vz studs?

What it's saying is that you need to fit the standard Holden wheel nuts to a genuine Holden wheel.
When i had my VS i had a set of Holden wheel nuts for the for the VT Berlina wheels and another set for my 18inch xhp's.
its saying that the VE wheel nut "cone" bit which fits to the wheel is bigger..i have a set of mag nuts that fit my VZ, the question is will they be ok or does anyone know if there are mag nuts that have a wider cone at the bottom and fit the vz stud size? cus from wat i understand the stud size is also bigger on the ve?

id use the original nuts that come with commodores, so probably the black long nuts that was used on the vy and vz tonners, crewmans and utes will suit you

You will need 12 x 22mm nuts plus machining.
The question is can you buy these 12 x 22mm wheel nuts?
I'm not afraid.
thanks rodbol, pretty much wat i was asking...can u get 22x12 wheel nuts or if you went to an engineering shop of the sort would they be able to make 20 up?

I'm sure some enterprising person must have
realised the need for this size nut?
Can you get them made? Probably, or try
your local bolt supplier.
I wonder if the people who sell and modify these
wheels to suite earlier comm's sell the right nuts.
I'm not afraid.
yeh might try the NUT & BOLT shop soon considering its just down the road and see what they have to say about it

Not really VZ related, but talking about retro fitting VE rims.
I want to fit some VE 16x7 Machined Steel Rims to my VK. I have been told to get some original VE nuts but reading through this they wont fit (14mm instead of 12mm) on VK studs. Another idea I was told is to fit VZ mag wheel nuts but I don't think the chamfer will be correct for the VE rim.
