Just got myself a VZ Commodore exec 3.6 and am very happy withit.

But seems to be abit sluggish off the line compared to the old VS 3.8 .... it does wind out nicely.

It seems that gears are very tall, has anyone tried say 3.45 ratio in a VZ, wondering how much of an improvement it would be?

ive come to the conclusion that the proflow turbo is on that might vanish..

it goes on the dyno, but has a spazz attack on the road... undriveable...

the stock ecu and tuning is the problem...

I dont know how much implusive know but it ran ok on the dyno but on the street it has issue mainly i think as its under more load or something but its defenitly a ecu problem the stock ecu are hard to tune if another ecu was used im sure it would work fine if you could set it up
it makes good power and george drives his ute everyday so its not completely undrivable

have heard... that the 5spd auto talks to the ecm, and the ecm talks to the bcm that controls the dash...

no ecm, no dash, no 5spd..

how would the 175kw motor handle a single turbo putting out 250rwkw ...
bcoz i just spoke to i think it was george from proflow and he said they have a single turbo kit.
its $5500 without injectors and $6000 with injectors and thats making 250rwkw.

do uz reckon the stock internals and all will handle the power? and the 4sp tranny.
ive got a lsd diff already so yeh just wondering if anyone would know.

the price of $5500 does not include the tune just all the bits.

it will make that power on low boost doesnt need that much to get it up to that mark. As long as its tuned corrrectly i see no problems in it handling the power

well i asked him about the tuning problem and how there having trouble on the road like someone mentioned above i think, and he said that it is going to be finalized this week.
He said it had something to do with the air flow so yeh.

Not sure if it includes tune .. but its 6g with injectors
Ill get in contact with him some time this week to find out about it and find out what kind of turbo there using or might just wait til the weekend and go past the shop ...

George is using a gt35/40 turbo. As you have its probably best speak to george later in the week or next week. If you live in the area drop by hes usually not there on weekends but im sure if you rang you could arrange something
