    Default "Check Powertrain" Message

    Hi

Had my battery replaced today - VZ Berlina wagon, V6.

After I collected the car and started it, I noticed that the clock was wrong but the radio pre-sets were all OK. Reset the clock.

Next time I started the car it came up with a "Check Powertrain" message.

What should I do? Is it a consequence of the battery being replaced or might it be a genuine message?

    Look forward to assistance.

    Regards

    Acrow

May have logged a fault code some how. You may need to take it to a place that can scan the car and see what the code is.

My VZ did this when the oil pressure switch cacked it.

Some you can - like the service reminders, but if it pops up again - it's scan tool time

Might work but it has already had the battery disconnected when it was replaced.

Have a look at post #2 with instruction on how to reset the computer.
