What is the difference between a Thunder and a Thunder Upgrade

Hey just woundering if any one knows the difference between a Thunder and a Thunder upgrade? Cheers

Yeah was looking at insurance prices and the upgrade one is $500 cheaper

think one has been upgraded to be a thunder while the other one is original thunder.

With out knowing further details thats sounds like it might be right.

But if the utes where talking about is not that and threre genuine thunders than the difference is the engine where 2006 thunder utes came with the L76 V8 and i think 2006 october onwards and deffinately some of the last 2007 models where upgraded with the L98 V8 from the VE's.

Yeah... just had a quick look on redbook and other sites... no mention of a factory "Thunder Upgrade" so I would also put my money on it being a ute that rolled out of the factory a plain SS and then was upgraded to have the THUNDER bits added on.

The THUNDER itself was a limited edition, so this may have been the option for people who missed out?
