Default just a couple of problems with the VZ sv6

i have an 2005 sv6 with around 80,000k only had the car for about 6 months..... i been driving a ford XD 351 for 6 years.. so these new technical cars a bit much for me lol

firstly... i been servicing the car with Martini Racing Super GT40 10w40 for the last 2 services..... it seams to be getting a ticking sound from the engine.. like a lifter ticking sound, but only for the first month i drive the car around... any ideas what that could be? the handbook says 10w30 but i dont think that makes much of a difference or can it??.....

secondly i cant view half the menu options... i get the basic options... reset factory settings, dist to go display.. on or off, stop watch, etc etc but i cant get the radio display, auto head light sensitivity, two stage unlock etc etc options to display..

    any ideas??

Yeah, there have been issues with some of aftermarket products.. Causing issues with the Menu Functions.

Alloytec engines are very sensitive to grade and quality of oil used as well as not servicing (changing oil) at receommended intervals. If vehicle is used for towing or 'hard driving' the oil change intervals should be more frequent (e.g. 5,000 km or so). Sounds like you may not have the correct grade of oil. Check your Owners Manual for specifications.
