Default Installing Aftermarket Tacho / Voltage Gauges - VZ Exec - HELP

Got some aftermarket guages. voltage and tacho, they are electrical.

    Voltage = 12v, ground
Tacho = 12v, ground, tacho signal wire.

No instructions. I've done stereo's, amps, neons etc.... I'm clued in, need some help here. Anyone got a pic, diagram of the VZ Exec instrument cluter wiring? .... need to find out what the tacho signal wire is....

Also the voltage meter, can I hook that directly to an ignition wire that goes to an amp or so I require something else? .....

Lil help.... pics would be more useful...

Isnt there a Tacho on the cluster, Why the aftermarket one?

As for the volt meter it just needs to be run to a switched ignition wire, Accessories etc, and then grounded off.

Try this thread mate ----> Ultimate Tacho Thread

It has info on VY's which shouldn't be that different for your car.

Depends on the GPS buddy.... 99% of gps's suck. Mine is a Mio C520...... not with the crappy new software they have on the new cheapy models.......... tis where it's at. For me I prefer to keep things in sight, less taking eyes off the road. Plus............ besides all this. It's a gismo........... lol Everyone likes their toys. this is an endless debate going off topic now.

PS. I agree tho, I dont need the tacho side of it........... but it came with the kit so yeh............ eventually when I find a transmission temperature guage (the same type/brand) ........ i'll be pulling the tacho one out and putting that in so i can monitor the transmission temps which I cant atm........ tuning, u need to know on the execs.... voltage also helps pin point things too. so no i'm not putting it in for rice purposes. unfortunately the tacho at this stage will be classed as rice as i dont need it for any reason......... anyways

i spose your more chasing the thrill of getting it installed by yourself rather then for what it acctually does

Seriously I dunno where you guys get your weird idea's from "chasing the thrill of installing it yourself". ........ Again, less opinions. All I want to "know" it how to install it, what wires go where........ plain and simple. There is no thrill in putting it in for me.......... it's time consuming and annoying. I'm over stuffing around........... I had to redo my stereo 3 times to "get it perfect" ..... I've changed my headunit 3 times as well to get a good on that works that I like.......... exhaust same........

I prefer simplier things ........... like my bodykit i'm getting next week, bolts.......... no electrical crap

I'm a computer tech by day (6 days a week) ......... electrical crap annoys me these days.

    *****

I an annoyed fashion, my opinion of your comments/opinions is:

" If someone asks HOW DO I .......... helping them out (with their question) is alot more helpful then wasting them time putting opinions and making comments completely NOTHING to do with the question asked ".

....... It'd be great if I could approve posts allowed on my topic, so then I could remove useless ones. I feel sorry for anyone looking for the same thing, only have to go thru a million useless posts nothing to do with the answer.
