sagging is usaully the glue letting go, it can be fixed by re-glueing it back. good quality spray adhesive, bonding preferabbly. can do it yourself if you think u can get the lineing out. otherwise there are companys around that do these repairs

I have a similar problem, i even made a thread about it on here:

    Mystery hood lining problem

I never figured out how to remove the hood lining so if you ever get it, let me know so i can attempt it.

when you press the bulging piece of the head lining, does it feel soft and light like a suspended piece of material, or can you feel the backing behind it, say 4mm max?

ill get back to you guys, generally its just remove all the trim around the roof, lower the headlining then bend it in half and squeeze it through the rear door

My mum had hers replaced recently. Local trimming joint charges $300, and they did a great job.
