hey, ive got a VZ Exec 05. its stock atm and im looking at putting an exhaust on it for sound and that little bit of performance. Ive been getting quotes and stuff around the western suburbs of Melbourne and ive had differing opinions.
Ive been told that the best option is a 2.5" duel system which would give me a V8 sound with about 10-20 extra kw priced at 550$. Im wondering weather a 2.5" straight through system would give me a great sound also because this is only 350$. The car is an alloytec engine and ive been told the stock system on there is duel anyway so im just wondering which exhaust i should go for best sound but saving cost cos im low on cash atm :P
any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks
Mark
i honestly hate when people ask about exhaust advice on this forum, as it is really up to you and what you want on your car, BUT to help you out i have found that twin 2.25 to single 2.5 inch with a resi on the rear end works well, great low end power and cheap to do. Great sound.. and if the sound your chasing is a V8? you wont get it with an alloytec. There are plenty of exhausts just have a listen when your driving around and ask questions.

Here you go mate, I bought one of these... Mine hasnt been delivered yet, but its a bit cheaper than $550 and fits the bill described by Impulsive. When its on I plan to post a vid and sound. So if you can wait a week or two... stay tuned.

I'm not afraid.
V8 Sound. Headers, Racing Cats (150 cell or less), make it run rough slightly n get a twin x-force 2.5 twin system which will defen you.
Loud, hums, girgles, screams........ Cops will defect you![]()

2 1/2" twin won't work on an alloytec, you will feel like it loses power. They are also loud and drony.
Well, today im getting the 2.5" mandrel twin system exhaust. Ive asked around and several exhaust shops and my cousins and other peeple with knowlege of cars. Ive been told it should sound like an 8, and increase performance by about 10kw. I dunno how much truth there is, ive heard it can give even more power, i guess onli time will tell, ill keep you posted on how it goes after its done.
thanks for the help.
Well, if your cousins said so, then it must be true.....
pft. yes a twin 2.5" does add power, the x-force with the X peice solves the dreaded screaming of those who go "twin 2.5 on a v6, your mad" as it drops to like a 2.75" single in the middle..... which thus fixes back pressure issues with the twin 2.5".
I had one, better mid end then my current custom exhaust, no diff low or high.
If u want low down power u just fit some resonators right at the front near the headersif pplz winge bout this contious argument
