I hope someone can help me with this enquiry before i get the mechanic to check it out... My last service was 89000km and i am currently on 94600km my next is due on 97500km , but i just had the "service engine oil" warning pop up on the dash yesterday... so i checked the oil which looked low and i topped it up with recommended Nulon sae10w/30 but the msge still shows up when i turn the car on, i tried to clear it by pressing the mode/set buttons but no luck.
keep in mind that i definitly am no mechanic and can only do the basic upkeep of a car
i checked the engine for leaks and i couldnt see any , and theres no leaks in my carport
Q. would there still be a problem?
Q. what happens when oil pressure is lost?
Q. how do i clear the dash msge?
Thanks
Daz
I had this same prob in mine VZ a few months back.
A. There's is no problem.
B. You'll get low oil light on ur dash or you'll stave the eng of oil. You should check your oil at least 2-3 times a month.
C. You can't, you'll have to take it to Holden to get them to clear the msg. According to Holden its a software glitch, this msg is only meant for overseas models.

/\ thats right, it'll keep coming back every now and then tho.
Holden are supposed to be able to remove it, depends on how good they are at doing their job coz they never did with mine.
I just re-set mine.
And yes, its for the overseas market (US) so it goes off at a set miles interval, not KM
