VZ cancel service alert display

Hi there.
My brother owns a VZ R8 Maloo. He's just done an oil change but would like to know how to get rid of the service alert on start ups?

Check the Owner's Manual, should find step by step instructions there-in.

1. With the ignition OFF, press and hold the up and down buttons of the Trip Computer.

2. Turn the ignition ON while holding down both buttons.

3. Keep both buttons held in for 3 seconds Approx..

4. Press and hold the 'Set' button for more than 3 seconds or until an audible alarm is heard.

5. The display shows - SERVICE RESET NO ITEMS.

6. Press and hold the 'Set' button for more than 3 seconds - the SERVICE OIL LAMP will extinguish.

7. Turn the ignition OFF, then ON again.

Thats the simplest I've seen it written, well done.
I had to do it to mine a while back but the instructions I had made it sound so complicated.
By the way Pete401 it works.

it will at some stage display another warning, this needs to be reset using a Tech 2, the oil life in the PCM needs resetting
