Did you remove the driver's airbag to
    check the s/wheel button wiring.
Then turn ignition on without airbag
    connected?
This will give an SRS fault which will
need to be reset via OBD2 port.

Can't help with the audio controls.
    I'm not afraid.

Ok i think i worked out one of my problems! When i put the new head unit in, there were two codes written down... I am guessing i entered the wrong code and the head unit only half activated! Is there a way to clear the code off the head unit so as to enter in the other???? Please help!

Maybe if you disconect the battery it will wipe out the old code then you can enter the new one

sounds like something else has gone astray
simply changing the radio will not inerfere with the srs in any way
you need to get a scantool onto it to see what is wrong.
sounds like the clockspring has a fault.
