Default How to reset head unit?

Ok so i put a different head unit in my ute and used the wrong code. It activated but now the steering wheel controls are not working. So i am thinking its because the code was wrong!

How do i go about resetting the head unit so as to enter in the correct code?

    Cheers

I highly doubt that entering the wrong code would activate the head unit without steering wheel functionality.

    Wrong code = no activation.

Take it out again and double check the wiring.

just FYI the BCM? remembers the PIN for the radio from factory.

When you put a new heard unit in and enter the PIN the BCM remembers that. You can remove the radio in and out and wont be asked for the PIN, until you go and put a different head unit in.

Unplugging the battery etc doesnt really matter, the head unit resets after 15 mins whether its connected or not. just have to wait it out if you've locked it.

    almost right
the pin number needs to be programmed into the BCM, once this is done that HU will work in that car without any issues, if the HU pin is different to the number stored in the BCM the HU will need to be pinned each time the power has been off.
