problem wiith abs with stockies on...

hey guys..

I put a pair of 15' stockies on the back of my sv6 because i couldnt afford new rubber for my 19's. When im driving it my abs goes crazy and i carnt stop. but on the way to work it came up with a abs fault on the computer...


is this normal because i got 19's on the front and 15's on the back with ssl so i thought it would have to do with car on such a lean... any info would be great

just a theory... could it be your traction control going nuts? that makes the pedal pulse just like abs... cus traction and stability would be affected by the different tyres

put 15 allround or 19's
dont mix and match, the computer cant compesate for different axle speed's.

My guess is the rolling diameter difference of the front and rear tyres is enough for the ABS to think the front wheels are locked due to having less revolutions to the rear tyres. Just a theory.

i have to turn t/c off when i first start it up because when u go around a corner at like 20kp/h it comes up with low traction but im not even going fast and im in like 4 gear cruzing.

i thought the computer rejusted to it after like 40km of driving..

but this isnt the first time iv had them on, iv had them on 3 or 4 times and this is the first time it has ever had problem
