Work out the towing capacity of your ute ( believe the maximum is 1600 kg), then identify the towing capacity of your tow bar. I believe that the kerb weight of an SS is about 1800 kg. So the answer is NO. Your tow bar would not have a capacity of 3.5 ton you are probably looking at the capacity of the towball. Nothing to do with ability of the vehicle. Towbar should have a sticker on it showing vertical and horizontal maximum weights. Makes no difference though as your vehicle is limited to 1600 kg (automatic trans).

nah the 3500kg is the load rating on the ball, the integrity of the bar can take 1600kg if yous is auto,

so buy law, if its a full weight car your towing, + the trailer, your more than likely oveloaded

if you want to upgrade, watch ebay, the 2100kg h/d kits pop up occasionally

You cause an accident, writing off 2 ferraris and smashing into a house killing 4 small children and you go to jail bankrupt because your insurance company will give you the finger.
