cutting the muffler

iv heard of ppl cuttung off there muffler and having a pipe straight thou.
i had a mate that done this on his vp and it sounded like a long wet fart. is this the same on the sv6's?

dont do this please. it will sound shit. leave ur vz exhaust alone. a quiet alloytec is a good alloytec.

^^ What he said. It just doesn't sound right. Much like dumping the exhaust at the diff, or twin 2.5" tips on a 1 1/4" pipe.

try ditching the rear resinator at the clamp replace with 2 1/4 pipe and a nice tip, cheap n easy, sounds ok imo cheers

I had a V6 for 12 years (Supercharged for 8yrs) wtih all different styles and sizes of exhausts fitted and I can honestly say none of them sounded any good, as you said the loud ones were like a big fart.

nup dude you need one, i had a toy with a staight pipe out the back and it stayed on the car 15 seconds
