Default How low is to low?

Want to lower my Sv6 but dont know how low to go.
Got the 17" stock rims so i was thinking that ssl (rears) sl (fronts) would be too low?
Anyone know how much the springs actually lower your car, i want my tire to be pretty much in line with my guard.

4-5cm front, if i remember correctly, and 5-6cm for the rear. That would be the lowest you'd want to go.

unless the car is full, adding 300kg will lower a lot of cars an inch or so. I say it all depends on practicality.
If its your cruiser that only goes to work and back and for the occasional drive a carload of mates, you can get away with a lot more than if its the family car that you load up to its limit every weekend to go away and tows a boat or caravan or something.
