Service engine oil

Gday all,
Ditched the 75,000 service due off the display a couple of weeks ago. Car is serviced regularly but not by a Holden dealer. Now getting the Service engine oil coming up when turning the key in the ignition. Oil level fine. Anyone know how to ditch this?

I would be taking it back to the mechanic who last serviced it and get him to look at it. He may not have put the correct oil in.

as has been covered numerous times this is a faulty warning for the US market, they get that with the droppy oil can, we get the Service Vehicle. They werent turned off from factory on a number of cars.

Simple answer is ditch the reminder the same as the service vehicle one, as far as im aware these cars arent capable of determining what oil has been put in them like a BMW or Range Rover

Thanks mate, that seems pretty simple. Didnt think for a minute the VZ could distinguish between differing engine oils. Had the same engine lube brand for the last 30,000kms.
