Default A slab of touch-up paint

Hey all, I bought some touch-up paint the other day and it worked a miracle on the front lower bumper where there were some fairly deep scratches thanks to brilliant councils who thought higher than normal kerbs were necessary.

Anyway, I saw a bit of chipped paint on the bonnet and decided to touch that up as well, but ended up putting too much on, and now from a distance it looks a bit like a bird has pooped on it. I have polished and polished and managed to reduce the area of it, but it is still there.

Does anyone know what I should do? I fear that if I keep polishing, I will take off the good paint surrounding the area.

I am wanting to wax the bonnet as well, so is it ok to wax over the slab of touch up paint?

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry, just realised I posted this in wrong section. Could a mod please move this to the car care products section? Thanks.

One option is to tape off around the blob and wet sand with 200 grit paper. But unless you really know what you're doing you might want to research wet sanding first.

This should be move to the Detailing thread in the General section.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
