2006 VZ Alloytech Exec..... Here's some night pics of my just finished intake manifold I've painted. I painted it black to complete the engine bay because I had painted the other plastic covers..... and silver just looked tacky.......
forgive my night shots....... u get the idea tho. I think it looks pretty cool myself. Cant half tell it screams " I'M A 6 " with the red on the engine covers....

Tis' cool big daddyo!
I'm not afraid.
looks really good mate.. what sot of paint did you use??
Nope, sorry, doesn't 'do it' for me. Good try.
undercoat of red heat resistant caliper paint, then 4 coasts of standard jet black touchup paint as I didn't have any heatresistant black ......... worked great. i actually think the head resistant paint stops the bonnet heat from getting to the intake a bit as well....... seemed to drive alot better then usual today even with my mace engineering spacer.

Im installing a mace engineering flux capacitor in mine next week. It should rocket up to 88MPH then.
haha paybe the paint will give you an extra kw at the wheels!!

engine bay looks good, but CLEARLY it wont make it any faster![]()

Maybe the mace spacer helped?
AFAIK the spacers just cooled the intake manifold which doesnt have much of an effect on the performance of the car

there are alot of tools making stupid comments on here. it is what it is, if you wanna be stupid post somewhere else. it's shame the forums get spammed with stupid comments sometimes. I know it's mostly humor and all but still...

Hmm migh have to do that to the wifes vz ,looks good as
shit... take your sv6 killer to the track now and show us how its done hey... surely youd be in the 13's by the way you carry on
I painted my engine bay, who the **** said I gained KW's? ....... Danoz! Talk about taking a simple post out of context. Forgive me for showing off my painted engine bay as an "idea to others" As for SV6's......... no offense but 15 kw difference ......... you make it sound like a Exec whos gearbox you can tune massively would not wipe the floor with a SV6? ........ Such claims are obserd by the way. It's like saying your SV6 has the power of a V8....... I think not.
PS. I did not buy an SV6 because I felt they were crap just to clarify. I had the choice, and a 5 speed untunable BMW gearbox already maxed out with torque at stock levels did not do it for me.
