Clunk noise after startup/takeoff

I get this clunk sound coming from under the bonnet , it seems to occur just after starting up and taking off. but I have'nt noticeed it everytime.

I'm assuming its something turning itself on but i'm not sure. ??

It sounds like its coming from the right hand side, but its hard to tell.

Any ideas?

I had this on the Acclaim turns out my Radius Rod bushes (castor bushes) are non existant, so the clunk is the metal hitting the metal due to having no rubber between them

Really, I just bought it and had it checked thoroughly or so i thought.

Mine does the same thing sometimes. It comes from the front and sounds like the suspension. I did have the bushes replaced with high quality ones but i haven't bothered to get the noise looked at.

torana355. get it looked into. anything on a car that makes a noise when it shouldnt isnt a good thing.
take it to a mate who's a mech or a mech and get them to test it out.

as for the noise, my brother had the same in his vt. ended up being the castor bushes aswell making the noise

i had the caster bushes replaced not to long ago. The guy actually checked out the whole front suspension setup which he said looked fine. Mine only makes the noise once every 2 weeks or so. I will get it looked at eventually.

Yeah i get that but only when i turn left at walking speed, i.e. pulling into driveway.

Yeah i get it after reverseing out hard left, and then straitening up and taking off.

lol thats exactly how mine happens!!! I reverse out of the driveway turning hard left then when i go to take off in Drive it makes the noise.
