on friday afternoon, as i was going to head to newcastle for the long weekend, as i guess maybe a few people did on the long weekend.
as i reveresed back i got an issue on the dashboard that said SRS airbag fault... checked the manual and it is said that its to do with the airbag in the car.
just wanting to know if this a common issue with the SV6 ?? if not has anyone had this issue with the car as of yet and do u generally have to go to the holden dealer to get it fixed as thats what the manual refers too.
if someone could help me out that would be great.![]()
i havnt had airbag fault, ive had abs & immobiliser faults but they were gone after new battery man
get that checked cause it might be shot
gotta love the problems caused by a dyin battery in the Sv6s
When in the chicken coup, if i wanna get lucky, i get clucky clucky
okay once the SRS warning has been activated it WONT go away until its been cleared, either by Holden or by a workshop with Tech 2, thats the law thats why it does it.
It could be caused by a number of issues, maybe even a glitch.
This is why the warning doesnt go away, as it affects your safety, your now forced to have it looked at, when they clear the fault code it will tell them what set it off.
Bear in mind all SRS goodies are now disabled while that warning is showing. Sounds bad but say for instance its a faulty drivers airbag, you dont want it to randomly go BOOM while your doing 110kph down the highway!
Get it checked, let us know how it goes!
yeah fanks torguative,
i will be calling my mechanic tomorrow and see if they can have a look at it maybe tomorrow or saturday... cause yeah its abit of an issue... yeah ya right i dont wanna be going on the highway and have that go boom or even just driving locally and it go boom, i honestly hope it doesnt cost 2 much at all aye....
