    Default Nolathane radius rod bushes

    Hey all

just a question, how the heck do you work out what degree of caster to set up when you have aftermarket suspension?

I understand a wheel alignment will give me the only real reading so I can adjust from there, but for the interim when I chuck em in on the weekend to replace the worn bushes I have, is there anyway of telling roughly what to run - or should I just set it up to standard, and at the wheel alignment get them to adjust it?

    this has been coverd

do you have acsses to a aligner at work or something cuz to adjust it takes a bit so if you take it to a shop they will charge minum shop fee which is like $100

now if you want to set them up you dont need a aligner

    set the right like this

    front: 4mm shim /washer sport setting/bush/washer flat/8mm shim /2mm shim

    left
    front:8mm shim/ washer sport setting/bush/washer flat/4mm shim/2mm shim

yeh its been covered wat washer setup does what, and its in the included paperwork how to set it up to what degree, and I understand that.. but is it possible to know without the use of an aligner what degree roughly to be looking at? Pointless saying "yep set it up to +1degree based on the fact its 1 degree celcius warmer then it should be right now"

The more ive been thinking about it the more I come to the realisation of just set it up as standard (seeing as its been running for 160 000 kays at standard) and get it done later when the new tyres and wheel alignments done.

I only need to replace them this weekend because its severely clonking on braking now ands I just dont have the money right at the moment to have it done by someone. I just thought if theres an idiots way of telling in the backyard roughly what to set it at based on the height or some other measurement then great, if not oh well. The tyres thats on it now are track day use anyway, just their a decent set with heaps of tread, so i didnt want them wearing on the inside if I can help it seeing as they'll be on til the new year.

set it up like i said this is the way most pedders stores set them up and they do it because of the amount they have wheel aligned
