Monaro Centre Console Mobile Phone Compartment

G'day Team,

First time writer; long term reader! So, forgive my ignorance if this question is silly or in the wrong place.

VZ Monaro Centre Console - there is a compartment with a spring lid call a Mobile Phone Compartment next to the Power Window Buttons etc. I need to replace this compartment because the little (bloody stupid) plastic nib that 'locks' the lid closed has broken off - bloody stupid me!

Does this compartment come out as a modular unit or does the whole console need replacing? It looks like it is modular but I dont want to 'attack' it only to find its not!

Any help/knowledge appreciated,

That little compartment is held in by two screws from underneath. Unclip and unscrew the top cover (only one little screw under the spring loaded door beneath the sound system, disconnect the power window switches. The box with its lid will be able to be removed completely. No idea of cost to replace it, though.

It is, but to fit the "mobile phone compartment, the sides of the cup holder have to be cut away. I've looked at my console to see how it was fitted and there's a fair bit of plastic cut out from one side.

Thanks Team; if you ask me the cup holders are a better mobile phone holder anyway!
