Default cold air intake has killed car... plz help

    hey there....
im new to the whole forum thing, any help will be greatly appreciated, i've just bought a vz ss 5.7 ute...... and its shitting me already..
ive put a o.t.r cold air intake on it and its running really poor... took the intake off and the ute still is sounding lumpy.. idles a bit over 500rpm, sounds like it wants to stall and has only 1 quarter of the power, there is no leaks in the manifold and i've cleaned the throttle body... could the e.c.m be tripping out????? thanks

If he has put an OTR CAI in then it looks like he has removed the MAF completely.

What did you use to clean the throttle body ? have you accidentally left a TPS ( throttle position sensor ) or a vacuum hose off ? re-check all of your connections

So is the new maf connected and running in the right direction.
Most OTR CAI's don't have enough room to fit the maf between the OTR and the TB and so are designed for use with a mafless tune only which is usually done at the time of fitting the OTR because the car won't drive well with the maf disconnected but still active in the computer program.
