    Default VZ dash problem

    Hi Guys,

We bought a secondhand VZ Crewman S pack a couple of months ago. All is good except the dash dials stopped working. The LCD bit still works but not the analogue speedo, tacho, fuel and temp guages.

Just wondering if there might be a quick fix or if anyone else has had this problem as its not part of the warranty (speedo only on warranty).

    Thanks.
    Brad.

You can try to reset the cluster by doing the following:
    Turn Ignition to Accessory
Hold Mode And Set, then switch to On
This will bring up a system menu, if you go through all of the readings (there's about 12-15 of them), you will get to the instrument cluster reset, which resets the needles, and lights up all the dash lights so you can see where the fault is, if any. It could be just one fuse, or something bigger, but that should narrow it down for you, if it doesnt fix it.

Who said it wouldnt be under Warranty? Holden? I would say it should be covered if its still stock.

    nup, didnt't fix it...
It seems like the cluster is getting power coz the needles jump slightly when turning the key from acc to on but they just don't operate correctly.

The tacho is tuck on between 1 to 2k rpm and the speedo is stuck just above zero.
Went through the self diagnosis on the dash and it all seemed fine except for the needle guages didn't change.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks
    Brad.
