Hi guys,
I'm new to commodores, with my other cars forums have always helped me to get on top of things so I thought I'd give this one a go.
I have just bought a 2004 VZ SS ute with climate control.
If I have the aircon set on COLD "C" it goes nice and cold but if I change it to 17c (or any other setting above "C") it goes full hot
That's on the manual setting.
Now if I use "AUTO" it only goes hot, I set it on 17c and the only thing it does is blow hot air through the foot vents. I have waited for a while but it does not stop even after a few minutes.
Could the interior temp sensor be faulty?
I would greatly appreciate your help as I don't want to have it either COLD or HOT all the time.
Ideas, anyone?

my vr calais did this and it was the vacuum line behind engine..or in my VL, it was the hoses and cable under dash near glove box. if the cable comes loose it will constantly be stuck on heater.
the hoses near it are all hooked up to face/feet/window etc and your 'face' one may have popped off, leaving the air to go through the 'feet' hose.
i dont know how similar the vz setup is but it's what my previous couple of cars did also and one of those was the issue..
Although, the 'auto/manual'' thing is a bit weird if it does actually blow through face vents half the time.....lol perhaps electrical then!
Yeah the selection of the vents (face, feet etc.) works fine. It's just either cold oder hot, nothing in between. Must be some sensor but I have no clue where to look...... maybe I have to get someone to check it out and charge me $500 to find the problem![]()
