    Angry Boot lid jammed

    Hey guys,

My bloody boot lid jammed tonight.

I heard a weird sound when i last opened it and it's been jammed up ever since.

Using the key or the button inside the glove box makes the boot "noise" but the thing won't budge.

Any thought on how to fix this?

do you have a cloth or anything that could have picked up and jammed in the latch area...... been there with customers before,

what you have to do is get into the boot, pull the lining off the boot lid, then get some picks and scre drivers and lever the stricker back around so it releases, its a fiddly prick of a job and youll most likely break or damage the lock in some way, but it the only way to release it,

of course only if the linkages havnt fallen apart...

That sounds like pain of the highest order. Can a human even fit through that little ski hatch thing?

Thanks for the info though, i may just have to live without my boot for a while...

Hope this never happens to me... there's no such thing as a little ski hatch thing (lol) while my gas tank is mounted in the boot hard up against the back seats.

    Hi,

Have a look in the owner's manual. I think there is a red "emergency" tag (manual cable) just inside the ski port that may release the boot lid.

    Otherwise, deep trouble.

ah yes... the ski port.. fogot about that....

well try the emergency, but that usually wont help if the mechanism is jammed

whilst this is true, a bit ofr force on the emergency cable will do one of two things
    1- free the mechanism
    or
    2-break the cable.

Okay i used the secret lever and it worked thankfully.

The problem is that the electronic device that opens the latch when you push on the button is not opening it. It's still pulling on it because i can see it moving up and down when i push it but it isn't opening it.
