    Question VY Exhaust Onto VZ?

    Hi guys,

just wondering wether the 2 1/2" redback catback system i had on my VY 25th anniversary ( which has now sadly gone to god =[ ) will fit on my new VZ Exec...

though it would be good to reuse as it was only used for around 6 months it may sound shit on the alloytec engine, but just wanted to ask wether it was possible in any way??

    thanks

*cough* you obviously dont listen to mine launch off a set of lights then coz ive had it on for the past 18 months (thus why it has twin chrome tips)

No, the V6 wont. V8 will bolt onto alloytec but not Ecotec to Alloytec, sorry bud

like the majority im yet to hear a VZ V6 Auto that sounds good, manual seems to be deeper (as with all manuals, Ecotec did the same thing). LS1 exhaust gives it a slight rumble at idle and a deeper growl at full open throttle but nothing spectacular, bonus being you'll get one cheap if you find someone whose upgrading their LS1 exhaust, some exhaust shops even offer them free so they dont have to pay to scrap them

The VT on super 6 runs the same configuration as the V8 so they interchange too.

The LS1 system will bolt straight on.

just need to weld a second bracket onto the chassis (as your adding a second pipe) and buy a few extra rubber mounts for a couple of bucks each, but yeh other then that bolts straight up

i've only ever heard one reasonble sound alloytec but i'm not a fan of spending 3k on the exhaust and then even more on a new manifold
