    Question Blaupunkt 6 stacker fascia

Just wondering if anyone knows where to source a new fascia for a 6 stacker Blaupunkt head unit in tempest Grey colour. As you may all be aware after a while the paint starts to come off showing horrible signs of wear. I don't want to have to fork out $295.00 for a new one. It would be nicer if I could just replace the front.

    Cheers

Paul's right - the facia and associated parts for the Blaupunkt are not sold separately, at least, my spare parts man, whom I trust completely, has said so.

Yea that's what I'm dreading, I'm going to have to fork out $300 for a new one just to replace one little part. Perhaps some people may be interested in the other spare parts from it?

I had the same problem with my 6 stacker, but solved it by carefully scraping all the Dark Tempest off the buttons, respraying the facia surround and remainder of the dash panel in satin black. I then sprayed the surrounding lip of the centre section of the dash and console top, and the instrument cluster surround, in gloss black, cut the gloss back with Brasso and it looks much nicer than the Dark Tempest. (but then , that's just my opinion)

Sounds like alot of work. Although I have resprayed my dash in my old VT, I honestly don't have the energy to go down that road again. Also I quite like the tempest grey colour. I just can't justify respraying the whole dash just because of the head unit. But I'm sure the effort was well worth it!

I wanted to do it for two reasons. first, the head unit was badly scratched and looked like crap and second, I wanted to upgrade the interior appearance from Berlina to Calais.

Ok well I will probably buy a new Blaupunkt unit. Does anyone else need any spares off it as I am only going to be using the front facsia for e.g. CD stacker, the actual unit itself etc. etc...
