Got my car back yesterday after geting the transmision rebuilt and a new bell housing... Ive noticed a wierd noise that wasnt there before i took it in.. To me itsounds like its coming from the wheels or under the car i can hear it when im in cabin and when i put my head out the window.. Its only noticable 60 kph and under, realy noticable at 40kph it alsost sounds like the tyres have a flat spot as the noise slows down and speeds up with the car (its a dullish "whomp" sound) im hoping its nothing to do with the trany just spent $3800 on it.. But it is running in still, its done 110 ks since yesterday.... Please tell me this is a normal running in sound!?????
Id call the tranny place but theyve just gone on holidays
peace. Jai
Holden don't build whomp sounds into their carsof course it's not normal. If it's the new box then you probably don't want to drive it untill they can fix it otherwise there's just more broken parts they will have to (or might not want to) replace. So best to park it
Oops my bad
went to the beach today came back to the car n my tyre was flat
it must of been a nail.. The hole was fairly big.. I just think of worst case scenario so yeah im relived its not the tranny. Changed the wheel n all good!..
The trannys doing good.. I didnt notice anyting wrong with it before it f#ked up but i realy notice the diferance now its rebuilt if this is how its ment to b!!
