Shift kit 04 sv6

Hey People, new user to jc

I was just wondering if anyone has put a shift kit into a 04 sv6 5spd auto.. and whether its worth it or should i do some other mods first?


Bought it with the senator kit on it as it was
18"s
got a stereo put in, pioneer deck, soundstream 6x9's
pacie extractors
twin 2.5 exhaust system
lowered

Hoping to:
do the 2 hole mod
change exhaust to a single 2.5 catback, because of what im told is too much airflow/not enough back pressure (sounds bit like a tin can atm)
chip or dyno tune

dont even bother with a shift kit, just get the line pressures adjusted and u will be laughin

any tuner should b able 2 do it all theydo is plug into the computer and change a few settings had it done 2 my wgn and drives better than shift kitted stuff hands down

can't do this with the 5spd.
no tuner i have spoken is able too access the tables to modify the gearbox settings.

hmm, where did you get yours done vywgn...in adelaide?

does anyone have the prices for either of the two.. line pressures or shift kit? i wouldnt know where to start..

impulsesv6 has the line pressure boosting kit pm him. otherwise i saw a company now make boost valves for these autos should also firm up the shifts.

i don't have an auto so i didn't pay alot of attention. talk to impulse or join the stcommo forum there is more information on there.

Hey man, I have spied a B&M shift improver kit on ebay, apparently it supereasy to fit as the auction says, id be keen to hear how it goes if you get it done. $100 buy it now, theres a few of them and no its not MY online store.. Just helpin u out.

yea ive seen these on ebay before, had forgotten about them though thanks deathvz.. only problem is i would not have a clue how to install it probably even with instructions lol. will have a think about it and if i buy ill post up the results. cheers.

ey man all good mine is a 5 spd auto...i was just askin whether it would work with the 5 spd...dont really know how the shifter thing works so im tryin to find out as much info as i can..

Nah not for the 5 Speed, only the 4 Speed.. There really is **** all out for the 5Sp Auto..
