Default Melbourne: Reprogram VZ SS Cluster for VZ Exec. Referees?

Can anyone recommend somebody in Melbourne who can do this for me? I want to put a VZ SS cluster assy in My VZ exec, i would like to keep/transfer my kilometer reading, positive it can be done. Would like the same menu options too.

I have seen the other threads but not much joy has been offered.

Im in Laverton but jumping around the bay is not a drama.

Hoping to avoid being charged like a wounded bull.

    yes but no

As far as I'm aware Greg (Phreddy) is the only bloke with the tools outside of working at VDO (who make the clusters), that can do it.

A BRAND NEW cluster can be programmed up to 100 km travelled on the odo, at 101 or beyond its locked in, you cannot modify them. Its to stop people from doing the old trick of winding back the odometer.

Greg can modify the onboard chip that holds the odometer reading data, but he's in Western Sydney. Holden CANNOT do it, so don't even bother asking them.

It can be done because we programmed an SS cluster about 12 months ago from reading something like 70 000 kays to 120 000 kays, but I had to get Greg to do it.

Perhaps keep an eye out on the ASR sub forum for the next Melbourne Road show, or contact greg - if you package up the new cluster and freight it to Sydney he can do the work and send it back already set to your car, just plug it in.

    no worries!

some people get a bit upset that when they buy the cluster then have to "send it away" and wait more time to get it done, but its worth it in the end and ultimately not many people get it done. Mine looks awesome, silver dash in a silver car! Far better then the standard black one.

You can also get Greg to do the "colour morph" light sabre needles for that added WOW factor too!!!

word of advice DONT plug it in as is to "try it" because its setup for the SS, so when it does its checks nothing matches like number of airbags, readings from various engine sensors, and it sends it spastic
