    Default Power window issues

    Hi
Has anyone had any issues with their power windows? My rear
passenger one has just stopped workin. It doesn't get used alot.
What's a new reg or motor worth?
    Thanks

It will most probably be the rear switch. They fail often. Take the one out of the opposite side and use it to test the faulty side.

For a Commy a new switch from Holden would probably set you back about 150-180.

If its a regulator, more than likely your window would go either up or down, not both.

I think fitted was about 300, but its real easy to do, so best buy the part, even from a wrecker and fit it yourself

Are you using the main pwr window switch at the front or on the door itself?

I have this issue with the rear left pass door, using the door switch. The window goes done but not up, yet if u use the main pwr window switch, that same window goes up & down. Obviously it must be the door switch itself.

I have the opposite problem, same window, pass side rear. Will work off the door switch but not from the main switch between front seats.

i have cleaned all the connections, switch box and checked all are secure. But now as soon as you unlock the car the window will wind down but not back up, if you lock then unlock the car it will wind back up but not down again. only from the front switch. i did not get a chance to check the back switch incase it went down and i could not get it back up. wtf?

Sounds like a faulty relay most likely getting stuck in one position then another. I dont have the wiring diagram so i cant actually tell you where it is.

Moisture? I was cleaning mine with a damp cloth, maybe some moisture got into the switches, and now its dried out, all good!
