    Default Exhaust: Cat issues

Ive had my full exhaust for a while now and boy do i regret it. After having Extractors and a Cat back installed i was very impressed, it actually sounded pretty decent.
Then came the cats... Totally shithouse whole exhaust note changed and i now get resonance in my exhaust at low revs.

I was wondering if i get a pair of sv6 cats from the wreckers if i can simply undo the "Performance cats" and slot the old ones back in without any dramas, as i really like the sv6 note without the cats.

Where were your factory cats located when the extractors were fitted? Were they put under the car and the resonators that were there removed?

alott of aftermarket systems take away the resonator infront of the cat (the square box) this seems to unleash a cruel and punishing sound id put the resonators and cats back in

It's the other way around, the cats are in front of the resonators. The cats sit right up near the manifolds and the ones under the car are the resonators.

And you are right in that removing them gives a crap sound.
