hey guys,
Been trawling through the archives to find any mention of this but no luck.
own a VZ Berlina v6 auto 4Sp. When lightly accelarating there is a screeching sound. most noticable when driving near concrete walls etc when it reflects back. not massively loud but is starting to get on my nerves/worry me.
dont think its belt related because doesn't happen when revved in neutral.
(also i get the 'belt slip' when shifitng under hard accelaration which has been covered in previous threads).
any ideas? or straight to the mechanic?
mechanic ..
With the screeching noise, not sure what it could be exactly, as it could be a number of things. As mentioned just take it to a mechanic.
With the belt slipping! have u checked the belt tension?
The Blue One
paulSV6 yeah asked the monkeys at holden to check the belt tension and they said that it was fine.
Thanks guys looks like a trip to my trusted mechanic!
