    Default flush power steering

is this something i could do at home?

anyone able to post the service manual reference to this job?

reason is my steering doesnt feel good, im losing fluid from the top hose but even when the reservoir is full i can just tell somethings not right, it feels too mechanical when turning so im wondering if ive got air in there somewhere or something like that

Isn't that because its leaking from the top hose??

Have u check the steering rack boot covers underneath the car?

VZ's had an issue with a leaking high pressure hose which causes you to lose fluid like that.

I thought it was the top hose (only like 30 cm hose with 2x hose clamps) but that wasnt it, it was actually from the high pressure hose down to the rack.

Id be getting it checked out coz I got caught out like that

i actually flushed my power steering not too long ago. it was pretty simple and atleast now i know the fluid running through it is new. doubt it would have been done since mine was built. power steering systems get damn hot and i try to flush it everytime i change my transmission oil

yeah nah i havent checked anything else in the engine bay really, im a lazy kent

im planning on getting a new hose to meet the reservoir and flush the system, guess that will rule out the hose as being the issue

i had it replaced like 20k ago, must have been a shit one
