    Default fuel injectors

my vz v6 179 alloytec is running rough especially when you start it from cold and it seems to get a little better when motor has warmed up but it still seems like its missing
I have put injector cleaner in it this dosent have seem to do the trick
Ive had my fuel filter replaced a couple of months ago
also sometimes i have to give it a bit to get me up a hill

    Could this be dirty injectors?

also is there a diffrence in the size of injectors between sv6 and v6
    and are they compatible ?

    Thanks

could be spark plugs or coil packs more then likely...... as both get better once the car warms up a bit.

Yes I would agree about it maybe being plugs or even leads that are the prob. How long since last change? How many k's? Injector cleaner won't unblock already fowled up injectors. It will, however, keep good injectors from fowling up if the cleaner is used from time to time.

id say coil breaking down, but check plugs first,

injectors generally are ok untill high km's or unless your continually using bad fuel

As for a clean fuel system, apart from regularly changing fuel filter, run 3 - 4 tanks of Premium Unleaded through once every 6 months or so. It is cheaper than Injector Cleaning additives and does a better job. Advice I received from a fuel company technician.

Well from my experience, the symptoms that the op mentioned, could relate to plugs/leads. If there are no leads then that simply rules them out doesn't it! Sorry if I offended anyone else that has nothing better to do than pick on shit like this, was only trying to give an opinion on what MIGHT be causing this problem.
SO, Marcdon, am I right about the injector cleaner? Or have you got no idea about THAT forum topic? The only post you have made in this thread was to pick on another members post.

Sorry for the thread dig but how did you end up going with this?
Im experiencing the same problems and have replaced coils, spark plugs and fuel filter. Cylinder 2 is getting spark however the plug looks brand new after about 500klms. Have been told it could be the injector not sqiurting in fuel and to take it somewhere to be checked and cleaned.

I know alot of mechanic shops do the ultrasonic injector cleaning service, normally like 20-40 per injector. You can try that. Or go to a wreckers buy an injector and see if that fixes your problem. Thats my advice on that if you have already replaced the coils, spark plugs and fuel filter.

Check the resistance of the injector. It should be 12 to 18 ohms. Also check the loom.
