Post How to restore the factory shine to exterior Rubber, Plastic and Interior Door Pannel

Hi Everyone, I am planning on helping a neighbour detail his car tommorow as he let me borrow his new gurney to clean my rims. He has a Daewoo Nubira and the Exterior rubber and plastics have lost there colour and the Interior door trims are quite worn, and faded. On my VZ I just wipe over with a damp micro-fibre cloth and every so many months apply a interior detailer, but his are so Filthy and worn thats not working,(No Holes, Scratches just worn) any ideas? Thanks

I use armour all, but mind you it's done fairly regularly so no hassell. You might need about three treatments for good results.

If the paint has already faded it's probably a bit too late to try and apply maintennance products. As suggested, Armour All is a reasonably efficient product at preserving plastic and trim etc.

Man i have used a product on my partners car, she has a 97 magna that was looking sad.

Meguiars trim detailer, black can spray like hair spray sort thing but works MAGICALLY. You spray over the plastics etc on exterior and they come up awesome.

Inside you can use same product although i just used polyglaze interior spray which is also for exterior but found the meguiars worked better. but the inside comes up alot better ALOT.

Awesome, Don't think it I am going to be able to help him today due to the weather but might pop out later and grab some Meguiars Trim Detailer. Thanks

If your looking for a more permanent solution, give this stuff a try:

    Exterior Coatings // G|Techniq

Lasts up to 2 years apparently..

I also noticed that on the interior plastics they have sorta lost there enamel and have lost colour near the glove box does anyone know any tips or tricks to fix that as well? I highly doubt old John has ever cleaned that cars interior. Thanks
