    Default 4L60E Corvette Servo

has anyone changed theirs in a VZ while the box is in the car and if so how?

I tried to lower the rear of the box but it didn't work as it drops all of 2 or 3 cm, there's a cooler line, heatshield and exhaust pipe that also gets in the way.

for something that supposidly takes 'less then an hour to change' how the heck do you get into it to begin with?

well in the end I got it out, it was the shift kit spring I couldn't get too without having to drop the entire thing but thats another story and another kit.

But it doesnt matter, as we speak the cars at a workshop having the transmission taken out and replaced because the shift kit is just a joke in peak hour.

BTW Paul its better then being charged $800 to be told 'I dont know what youve done and now I dont know what Ive done so I need to send it to a transmission specialist to have it sorted"

The corvette servo itself isn't hard, esentially you just take out 2 discs and replace them with bigger discs, its just getting the old ones out and the new ones in it becomes hard

the $80 was just for labour, i already purchased the part, as for quality... getting an auto trans specialist to do it rather than doing it myself means i have it guaranteed right first time :-)
