Angry Cooling/heating fan speed cutting in and out

    Hi Guys,

I've got a 2005 VZ Executive, and over the past few weeks, the interior cooling fan has been cutting in and out, if I go over bumps in the road, etc. Sometimes it just cuts out all together, and if I fiddle with the fan speed knob (press it hard, rotate it, stuff around with it), the fan comes back on for a little while, then goes back off. Doesn't matter if A/C is on or not - still cuts in and out.

Does this sound like a loose connection? Is it something I could fix myself (I have no idea....) - or would it be expensive to get fixed?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

It's very rare for the switches to malfunction of any car, however I recently replaced a switch on a Ford Telstar a couple of weeks back. I'd be more looking into the fan itself running out of brushes. Fiddling with the switch and it eventually working is more a stroke of luck than anything (with movement of the vehicle, etc playing a role).
