hey guys, some of you will be aware that 2 weeks ago i converted my executive bootlid to the HSV clubsport one. ive noticed now when i release the boot via the key, the boot doesnt pop open unless ur pulling on it while ur releasing as its too heavy? also when youre closing the boot it instantly drops down. does anyone know if theres specific gas struts for the HSV?

The HSV boot lid is heavier due to the garnish that surrounds the number plate & the spoiler. All i can suggest is enquire about HSV boot struts at Holden or search on ebay for a pair.
The Blue One
I just found out after my monaro cv8z boot struts became a bit saggy , so I enquired on ebay a guy selling new ones , asked him about boot struts for commodores with spoilers on the boot , heavier weight etc, all he does is gas up the struts to a higher pressure if you tell him what your bootlid has on it , before he sends them to you. so just get your current ones gassed up by one of those mobile strut repairer guys,![]()
alright sweet thanks mate. i had a look on ebay but cant find any for clubsport etc. just normal commodore
