    Default Installing extractors V8

I have a VZ Monaro and have just picked up some extractors and pipes to put on her. Im just wondering if anyone knows or has a decent write up of how this is done and what needs to be removed/loosened to be able to fit the pipes in. I have heard the steering box needs to be moved or something? any help will be appreciated and can anyone give an estimated time on how long it should take me?

Dunno about the monaro, but on my 05 SV8, the left side was easy to install, simply remove the heatshield and computer, then remove/install from the top. The same can be done with the right hand side, however it's more difficult, I have to unbolt the ABS and move it over, remove the entire COP bank, unbolt the engine off the right hand mount and raise it slighty to install them, which is much easier than taking out the steering box.

Done it a couple of times and i've never had to remove the abs or muck with engine mounts. The trick is to put them in from underneath, so a pit is a must with this job. I've done it without a pit and although it can be done it's more of a pain in the ass.
