I did a search but i could not find any solid info. How much would it cost for the 4 sensors and is there any way to test them to see which ones are stuffed?
tech 2 or vcm to tell which ones are stuffed...
around 7-800 for a set of 4 i think new from motorama holden in bris
woah $800. Would they be any cheaper if they were bosch ones from repco ect? Im guessing the car does not always throw up a code if you need tech2 to see if they are stuffed, i ask this because my car has not thrown up any codes but it is using much more fuel then it used to (its up to 17L/100km driving carefully) Perhaps i should start by getting the injectors cleaned and new spark plugs as im just about at 100,000km's?
repco here was more expensive than holden even at repco trade price... and had to wait for repco to order when holden had them on the shelf...
From memory they are about $160 each?
Don't quote me on that.![]()
You don't need to do the post cat ones, only the pre-cat ones... They're not cheap but... got them on the shelf, $220 each.

Sweet. Anyway ive got my car booked into my local mechanic to get the plugs changed and the injectors cleaned, while he is doing that he is going to plug it into tech2 and check the Oxy sensors. Hopefully all of these things will get my economy and performance back.
save yourself some $$ and change the plugs yourself. Manifold is easy to remove.. just dont do them up too tight or they will crack..
when you have your manifold off take the injectors to holden (if you have another car) and save some $$ in labour..
Life starts at 200km/h
Well its all done. The Oxygen sensors did not throw up any codes and the resistances were the same on all of them so this was not the problem, though he did use X431 and not tech2??. However the injectors were quite bad and have been cleaned and the sparkplugs looked quite worn too so they were replaced with Platinum plugs. My mechanic used an aftermarket reusable metal gasket for the intake manifold which should be good if i decide to fit the mace spacers later.
The car is running MUCH smoother and the fuel eco has already dropped in the small drive i had from the mechanics. I will give it a proper fuel eco test tomorrow and see if it has fixed the fuel consumption problem.
Thanks for the help guys, i wil post back tomorrow with the fuel consumption results.
