    Default Aircon Fan Ticking

I am getting a constant ticking noise behind my dash when i have my fan set to 1 or 2 goes away at 3, 4 and max
ive been told its the bearing there was a simple DIY to fix it
can anyone help with the instructions
ive seen this posted else where but i find the search tool on this site pure crap (my opinion and im entitled to it)

did as mentioned today and i discovered a HUGE problem
when pulling open the electric motor i discovered a dozen BURNT bugs and numerous bits and pieces in the motor including small pieces of leaves
id suggest anyone in a rural area or just anyone in general check the electric motor in this fan
as im sure if you got something flamable enough in there it will burn

Yeah I was gonna say most common cause of ticking noises in fans are leaves, caused by people who utilise outside airflow more than recirculation. Outside air also causes mold buildup on evaporators when the air ducting is not fitted with a cabin filter.

i just use climate control mate it controls recirculation as well but from now on ill be leaving it on recirculate. Some of the bugs were actually stuck to the thread lock glue used on the nuts and were green (same colour as thread lock) so dunno if they got in during manufacture or not not to sure dont really care as the problems now solved...
the ticking was still there after i removed leaves and bugs, it was dry contacts that caused the ticking, once i lubricated these contacts with spray grease the ticking stopped...

I had a very similar problem, I expected to find a leaf but it was actually the bearings in ther blower fan which simply needed a respray with grease.
WD40 did not work. Silicone Lube spray did not work very well. The blowerfan is under the glovebox.
